For the Unit “Digital Landscape” within Karger Factory we are looking for a motivated person to join our increasingly agile organization as

IT Systems Engineer (80-100%)

Among other duties you will be responsible to develop, maintain and secure Karger’s IT infrastructure including networks, servers and cloud services with a focus on client engineering.


This multifaceted role includes:

  • General Office 365 / AD / Azure administration, including policies, security and services
  • Client engineering including maintenance and further development of the SCCM / Intune environment, creation of SCCM packages, client staging and OS lifecycle maintenance
  • Administration and management of the server infrastructure (Physical / EMC VNXe / VMware / Azure)
  • Configuration and monitoring of infrastructure & cloud operations, security systems and backup (Veeam)
  • 3rd level support for the IT Service Desk

Qualifications and experience required:​​​​​​​

  • Swiss IT apprenticeship / bachelor’s degree in a computer-related discipline or extensive equivalent experience
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar engineering-based position
  • Very good knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM, Intune)
  • Good experience of Azure Active Directory and Office 365 administration, including PowerShell scripting
  • Good experience working with cloud infrastructure and virtual servers
  • Experience of securing systems and infrastructure (specific experience of Microsoft Defender / ATP suite, Sentinel, Incapsula WAF and Cisco Firewall products is beneficial)
  • Professional qualifications e.g. Microsoft certification related to our key technologies and services
  • Very good English & German - both written and spoken - are essential
