Account Manager, Institutions 60 - 80 %

As a competent point of contact for both customers and internal stakeholders, your main task is the global order processing for our publications, supporting the department management as well as the sales team, including external offices.



This multifaceted role includes:

  • Point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, in English and German
  • Processing orders (magazines and books) and creating various documents (invoices, quotes, statistics, etc.)
  • Creating and maintaining customer profiles in our inventory management system and Salesforce
  • Collaborating in the areas of online access and ticketing system
  • Reading and checking EDI orders
  • Managing continuation and new release subscriptions
  • Billing publication fees
  • Managing wholesalers

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Commercial vocational training, preferably in the publishing/book trade sector
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position in customer service or sales
  • Independent and responsible working style, yet understand themselves as part of a team
  • Reliability, sense of responsibility, commitment, resilience, and a high level of service readiness
  • Good understanding of processes and business contexts
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken; additional foreign language(s) are an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office, ideally experienced with Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems
