Do you know Karger Publishers? We are a worldwide publisher of scientific and medical content based in Basel, Switzerland. In order to increase the awareness of our publishing house, we are looking for a temporary position with immediate effect in our Team Brand & Communication (Unit Marketing)

Brand Specialist (80-100%), temporary for 6-12 months

In collaboration with various teams, you will work on the implementation and communication of our Karger brand. Do you have experience in brand management and are you passionate about storytelling?

This multifaceted role includes:

  • Implementing our brand strategy, positioning and promise
  • Support and further development of our brand platform including the corresponding guidelines in cooperation with our graphics team
  • Creation and support of internal and external brand campaigns
  • Developing and building a brand understanding among our employees in cooperation with the HR and Corporate Communications departments
  • Developing and writing appropriate key performance indicator reporting of the brand strategy
  • Participating on content marketing/storytelling development as well as creating your own content

Qualifications, skills, and experience required:

  • Basic or advanced training in the areas of communications, public relations, and marketing and/or experience in the relevant topics and areas of responsibility
  • Very good communication skills, ability to work in a team as well as assertiveness
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to win others over for your own topics
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Experience in project and/or campaign management
  • Knowledge of communications or public relations (or comparable) including the ability to write texts on complex content simply and stylistically well
  • Experience in brand management
  • Experience in working with agencies desired
