For the Strategic Competence Center Digital Health within Karger Labs, the division focused on strategy, innovation and product development, we are looking for a motivated person to join our agile organization as the

Head of Digital Health (100%)

In this role you will be responsible for the development of Digital Health as a Karger Strategic Competence across all subject areas and stakeholders.


This multifaceted role includes:

  • Identify trends and key topics in Digital Health assess their potential
  • Define Karger’s Digital Health Strategy in the context of these topics
  • Continually nurture and grow a strong network of Key Opinion Leaders, societies and corporate partners in Digital Health
  • Ideate, conceptualize and implement knowledge-based Digital Health products and services in collaboration with other units and external partners
  • Manage the journal “Digital Biomarkers” in line with Editorial Development standards
  • Travel to events and partners worldwide (up to 40% of worktime)
  • Actively participate in the strategic development of Karger as a member of internal decision-making bodies (Circles)
  • Lead and manage two Strategic Competence Specialists, Digital Health (currently 1.4 FTE)

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Background in Health Sciences, Bioinformatics or Data Science (combinations a plus)
  • Existing network in the international Digital Health / Digital Medicine community
  • Proven track record in Innovation and Project Management as well as in bringing products to market
  • Excellent speaking, presenting and moderating skills
  • Strong communicator, networker and team player
  • Proven ability and willingness to work in a knowledge organization fostering joint responsibility and distributed decision-making
  • Very good command of English; conversational German and all other languages a plus
