Our team in the Cotswolds, UK is dedicated to producing high-quality accessible scientific content that informs and educates the general public, valuing creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to quality. We are passionate about bridging the gap between complex scientific information and public understanding, striving to deliver engaging and accurate content that informs and inspires. Therefore, we are seeking a freelance Medical Clinical Writer with a strong background in making science accessible to diverse audiences.

Freelance Medical Writer

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in medical writing, a knack for simplifying complex concepts, and experience creating visually engaging infographics. This role will involve collaborating with our editorial team to produce high-quality articles, reports, and educational materials.


This multifaceted role includes:

  • Research and write clear, concise, and engaging medical content tailored for a general audience
  • Simplify complex scientific concepts without losing accuracy, ensuring content is both informative and accessible
  • Develop visually appealing infographics and other visual content to enhance written material
  • Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure accuracy and alignment with our publishing standards.
  • Adhere to deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in all deliverables

Qualification and experience required:

Education:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field is preferred


Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a medical writer, ideally with a focus on public engagement
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating ability to simplify complex scientific information and create effective infographics
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and a solid understanding of clinical research.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Passion for science communication and a commitment to enhancing public understanding of health and medicine
